The Mile 'High" City

No wonder Denver is called the Mile High City. Voters there are set to decide on Tuesday whether to make it legal for adults to possess up to an ounce of marijuana. In a shocking turn of events, we here at the High Times Comedy Night blog think that this is an excellent idea. You can read all about the upcoming vote here, and take special note of our personal favorite quote in the story...

"People will flock to Denver to use marijuana," said Jeffrey Sweetin, head of the Rocky Mountain Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration. Even if possession of one ounce is legal, people would still have to illegally buy the drug, Sweetin said, and "people don't realize all that money goes to organized crime."

All the money from pot sales goes to organized crime? Really? Because based on every dealer I ever met I always assumed that money went to Pizza Hut, Playstation games, and Phish bootlegs. I guess you learn something new every day.

Be Careful With Your Brownies

If you're going to make pot brownies, you probably should make sure that they don't wind up in the mouth of your 5-year-old daughter. Especially if you are planning to send your daughter to grandma's house later that day.

"Later that evening, the grandmother noticed the child was lethargic, her pupils were dilated and she was acting "strangely." She also had what the grandmother called an "unusual appetite."

Read all about how the grandmother solved the Mystery of the 5-Year-Old's Munchies.
