For those of you that may not know, Sarah Silverman brings the funny every time she steps on a stage. We're thrilled to have her on board for the debut High Times Comedy Night and can't wait to see what she's got for a room full of "happy" audience members.

If you thought that college football polls were controversial, wait until you see the arguments being stirred up by High Times magazine's rankings of the Top 10 Cannabis Colleges. University of Colorado at Boulder holds down the top spot, but it is not without debate as the article's message boards reveal. Some of the more amusing arguments being made…

HIGH TIMES COMEDY NIGHT, a monthly live comedy event held at the Hollywood Improv, will launch Thursday, Oct. 6 at 10 pm. The lineup for the debut performance will feature popular comedians Sarah Silverman, Doug Benson, Jeffrey Ross and Jim Norton as well as performances from sketch group For The Kids.

The show will feature a lineup of top comedians as well as musical performances, surprise celebrity guests, and special audience giveaways in a night of fun geared toward High Times magazine fans. Tickets are on sale for $15 and can be purchased through the Improv website (www.improv.com). Additionally, each show serves as a benefit for NORML, the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Legalization with $4.20 of every ticket being donated to the organization.

“This is a great opportunity for the magazine to reach its core readers while expanding to a more mainstream audience that simply enjoys to laugh,” says High Times editor Steve Bloom. “Marijuana and comedy go together like Cheech & Chong.”
